It is the 05. But a lifter click compared to a clunk sound fairly diffrent. The mechanic that looked at it said possible lifter but wasn't sure.

Can I mount the maf right before the tb? After the the bov and everything? Are there downsides to this?

The maf is right after the intake filter. It is literally filter then an inch later maf. The the vaccum line, the reculator line then the turbo.

It's mounted between the fmic and the tb.

I found today that it only happens when I go straight from the gas to the clutch. If I let the gas out like half a second before I push the clutch in the rpms level out nicely.

The wastegate is the one that came with the turbo when I bought it brand new. As for the egr, it is only like 2 weeks old and cost 200 bucks. Would it really be shot?
