I'm in the process of doing this on my 2000 Protege. When I put my 24" breaker bar with a 36" extension pipe on the end I broke my breaker bar. This is no a chaep breaker bar either, its a Craftsman. I'm assuming the nut is not reverse thread right?
I'm getting a 40" 3/4 drive breaker bar...
Thats a good idea I will try that. $80 is a really good price. The best price I got was $180. I have a press anyway (I have a entire machine shop for that matter) so I'm going to do the job myself.
I just aquired a 2000 Protege and it has a wicked rumble in the front left wheel. I'm thinking it's a wheel bearing. Anybody know whats involved in replacing the bearing?
The real question is can you pass your state inspection with out a cat? If you can don't put a cat in your exhaust. If your state requires a cat use a high flow cat. Its really that simple.
