I moved from an 04 RX-8 to my 14 CX-5. I miss the RX-8 terribly! Yeah, the gas mileage sucked, but it was fun! My wife still has her 03 Miata SE. I'd like to make that a project car when I retire in a couple of years and put a rotary in that. I'd love to steal a 16x out of the development...

Went into brain dead mode again on the way home. Nothing from pandora or Bluetooth. Plugged the iPod back in and it just came back with the generic iPod error. Stopped and got gas and when I fired back up, I was eventually able to get pandora back to life, although I had to start it on my phone.

Not many data points, but I went through 6 times after unplugging the iPod with everything working fine. Then one trip out yesterday I got the reconnect message. I responded to it and it hooked up ok. I need more data points to see if this really makes a difference.

My iPod is plugged in the USB connector. I'll unplug it, since it's virtually useless anyway and see what happens

Same problem here. Saturday it went completely brain dead so I ended up listening to a cd. Today it's running from Bluetooth. It's interesting that playing pandora via Bluetooth starts much faster than trying to play it from the pandora tab. Of course I don't get the stations button, thumbs...

I have the same dilemma. We will move to Tennessee in the future and was thinking about how to get my wife's Miata there (a beautiful '03 Special Edition with only 37,000 on it, definitely not a POS!). At the end of the day, it's probably easiest just to ship it.

Yes, the backup is usable. That's what I copied back to my reformatted SD card.

I recovered, but I had to start from scratch. Somehow the update corrupted the SD card. Reformatted the card and all is good now.

My update completely blew up my maps. Now I have to find some time to start again.

One of the tags on my key said it was a FORD CX-5. Just can't fix stupid.

I was thinking about this while driving my wife's Miata in this morning. I put heated seats in that for her and they are excellent. The seats on my CX-5 do not heat as fast or get as warm, but they are still quite sufficient, even in this terrible winter we've been having.
