    2004 MPV Forum?

Since this site doesn't seem to have a forum for the MPV, does anyone know of a site that deals with these vehicles? I'm getting one for the wifey in the next week and am looking into customizing it and I know there's not much offered for it aftermarket. If anyone can help or point me in the...

    Sub Blew :(

I've been thinking about going with the JL8w0 for my MSP. My stock sub is blown right now. The dealer has ordered a new but says it may take 6 weeks for it to come in. I'm probably going to sell the car and don't want to waste any money doing something aftermarket to it. Did it take everyone...

    who's flashed? who's not?

I had mine flashed and it still runs like crap. It still hesitates like a car that desperately needs a tune-up or something. I couldn't decide whether to have it done again, or to risk the warranty and do some mods to improve it. (dunno)

    Time to part w/ MSP

I know what everyone was getting the MSP's for new, but this is the latest appraisals I've found for the '03.5. Just FYI. http://www.edmunds.com/used/2003/mazda/mazdaspeedprotege/100273774/options.html?tid=edmunds.u.tmvmipmake.tmvpricetable.num2.1.mazda*

    Synthetic or not?

? for you guys with synthetic...is this getting rid of the dry-starting? Whenever I start my MSP after it sits overnight or so, the valves and crap rattle louldy for about 3-5 seconds. I was thinking of going to synthetic hoping it would remedy this. I know that dry-starting can really...

Mazdaspeed Miata on Fear Factor NOW!

That's kind of a long name, but that would make more sense to me.

Mazdaspeed Miata on Fear Factor NOW!

MX-5? Whatever, it'll always be a Miata no matter what you call it. Anyway, I was excited when I heard the word MazdaSpeed and saw the Miata. It was the first time I've actually seen that car, but I've heard about it coming out since I first bought my MSP. I have to say I wasn't impressed...

    Shift vibration?

Skilletrx-That's exactly what it's like....about 1 second of riding on the rumble strip.

    Shift vibration?

Well atleast I know I'm not imagining this. I guess I need to get it documented with the dealership atleast. I didn't start noticing it until I has a few thousand miles or so on the car. As far as test drives, I think it's easy to get caught up in the excitement of buying a new car that you...

    Shift vibration?

Has anyone ever noticed this? Say I'm accelerating and push in the clutch and shift to the next gear...as I let the clutch back out to engage, I get a rumble sound/vibration from the transmission. You have to have the radio off to hear it. I once had a truck (auto trans.) and when it would...

Am I the only one who hates the MSPEED'S seats?

The seats are one thing that I like about the MSP. The only complaint I have is the black suede-like material used on the seats and door panels. Mazda sure didn't plan on anyone having kids with an MSP! :D

    MSP re-sale value

Matthew-I think you just named all the reasons why anyone would be willing to take a huge hit on a trade for the Protege.

    MSP re-sale value

I'm having the same problem right now. I'm wanting to get rid of my MSP I just bought in July and now has 9,000mi. on it. Dealers will only give like $10k or so for it. The problem is that since the cars are still pretty new, they only have the regular Protege to price them by. MazdaSpeed...

If you could buy your car over again.... would you?

I regret like hell buying my Protege. I wouldn't buy the MSP again, and furthermore, I will probably never buy a Mazda again.

    Pissed off!

Like girth said, welcome to being an MSP owner. I know what you're going through. My MSP does the same crap, and I've had it 'flashed'. It didn't help at all. It still runs like a p.o.s. Sorry man, but that's what happens when someone buys a brand new car and, heaven forbid, expects it to...
