I installed these also on my Mazda3.
They DO NOT hold up the hood in cold weather. At -5C (23F) they did not hold, put car into heated garage and not until it hit 2C(45F) did they start to function again.
So, I would say three seasons only, unless they have a damper replacement program.
The wheels with flacky paint are warranty covered. Pressure the dealer. It is a manufacturing defect. Wheels were NOT prepped properly before coating in the factory. I suspect they forgot to anodize the rims before coating them. Anodizing creates a hard barrier again corrosion.(attn)

Try and get to a mechanic to ask those questions. Try and get synthetic gearoil for the trans. You will love it in the winter. Make sure you get the recommended weight in the maintenance manual.

For this reason alone, my brother is looking at the Mazda 5.

A manual trans should chew that up very quick, auto = your screwed.
I would go for a tranny flush anyways, this will replace all the fluid. And if you live in a colder area get synthetic fluid.
