Update: Thanks to Ohioboater, we are now sporting a super slick Yakima rack! Now i dont need to worry about thrashing the interior by throwing my bike inside.

Yeah i was thinkin about that when i was doing it. But after i was done it was nothing to worry about. Only set to 200 degrees and for about 20 min and the light really doesnt get THAT hot. Just warm enough to loosen up the silicone. I was waiting to get some foul odor as well but nothing...
