I have sold my beloved 2008 Mazda 5 a few weeks ago and now want to sell the OEM roof rack which I got the same year. It is in excellent condition (all original parts and manuals) and I was wondering what year Mazda 5 models the rack would fit? I will post more information on the sale after I...
One time I bought strictly winter blades (big honking ones, can't remember make) and they were too big, not the actual blades but the "frame" jutted out another inch so it was hitting the side of the window frame. Went down 1" smaller and it was fine.
Had my 2008 Mazda's trans at ~72,000 km flushed a while back. Took the car to a dealer (a different one this time) in today for basic oil/filter work and the service person said my trans fluid was dirty. What the heck? I had then learned my previous dealer only has the equipment to do a half...
Just got my Yokohama Avid Envigors put on yesterday. Replaced my Toyo after 80,000 Km. Went way pass the point of using them, extremely noisy esp. after worn and not good for handling on road. I guess the good point is that the tires got me around and I only had one flat. The Yoko's (I like to...
Looking into buying Michelin Primacy (MXV4 or MXM4)
This will replace my original Toyo tires. Boy and they were noisy. How are you liking your Primacys so far? I have two other tires in mind, Michelin Pilot and Yokohama Avid Envigor. I do have winter tires. Thanks!
Update..Reading from...
The green light went out on Front/Mode air vent button of my 2008 Mazda 5., the middle one of the three temp/vent buttons. All other switches & buttons are OK on the display. Switching vents works OK on this button just no green light. Is this a Dealer issue or is it something else? Hopefully...
I did fit two 8' doors through the middle of my Mazda and was able to close the back hatch. All seats up for great support. Saved $60 I believe. My wife too is frugal. This allows more money to be put into my road racing bike. The pedal type that is.
Had the same horrible noise backing up. But when I had my front brakes check the rotors were badly grooved and pads worn. Had them replaced, noise went away. BUT my wife's 2006 Honda Accord makes that noise sometimes. Her rotors were replaced days ago. Haven't been in Honda to access noise if any.
I couldn't put my friend's canoe on which was 37" at the beam. I should say it almost fit but was so close to the curve part of the bar I felt it was too risky. So 35" should be okay for the canoe. Might be better to get the non-dealer Thule rack which has wider bars. I got the dealer one...
Injury preventer too!
Never did see the sliding doors as womanly till I read these postings. But I will say for guys and gals it is a back saver. How many times can you figure out how easier it was to adjust or move things using the sliding doors?
Two doors thru middle of Mazda 5!
I had no problem getting in two full size wooden doors in my Mazda. Placed the doors between the seats which ran from the back of the car to the edge of the back driver's seats. Still had all the seats up except for the very back two. I'm still blown away about...
Cost?
I'm not understanding the cost, is it $300 then you got $150 back from Insurance or is it $600 and you got $300 back from Insurance?
Also did the new glass come with that small dotted sunscreen behind mirror?
Thanks!
Same with white too!
Would've bought the white model (I have gray one with black interior) but sand interior with two dirty teenagers doesn't cut it. By the way MN, you ruined it by taking off the trim, I'll take it off your hands no problemo! (wink)
What us car owners do to accomplish stuff eh?
Know what you mean by the plastic underneath, my hands were literally scratched and bleeding from trying to get through some of the gaps to a secure metal piece. Someone at a paddle store found two holes near the front of the axle pass the plastic...
Tying up kayaks?
Nice setup of the two kayaks. I just bought the Mazda roof rack a few weeks ago and tied up my 14' sea-kayak on the rack after a few trials of tying it down. I had noticed B5, you had the straps going through the grill. Do you find it okay for I tried that way but was worried...
