    Thumping noise when turning...

Finally fixed it! I took my car back to my mechanic and I let him go to town with it. He found the bad bearing. It wasn't a wheel bearing or cv joint, but a support bearing on the right axle. He explained that if it was a rear wheel drive car, it would be called a carrier bearing. (Noise...

    Thumping noise when turning...

thanks for the input Thanks for the responses. I appreciate it. I think I am going to take it to another mechanic and see what they say. I am leaning towards the cv joints, as the sound is present even when not turning...though it is faint. I'm just worried it's going to leave me stranded...

    Thumping noise when turning...

No accident history Thanks for the tips. =] I am the only owner of this car and so far, I am accident free. The sound is more like a clicking, and gets louder the sharper I turn. My mechanic did replace the right-front wheel bearing, but it did not fix the issue. He said it was loose...

    Thumping noise when turning...

New radio = No hazard light??

That's nice!! That should help. Is it possible they removed the dash directly behind the steering wheel? It seemed a little out of place after the radio was installed but the car was new so I thought I might have imagined it.

New radio = No hazard light??

Thanks for your reply. I never took the dash apart, but seems like I might soon. Do you know of any instructions on the dash removal? A post in some catagory? But wait...doesn't the radio just pull out... So why did they remove the dashboard? Man this sounds shady.

New radio = No hazard light??

I just had a new radio installed by a place in my area that installs just car audio. I am familiar with how to do it myself but they gave me a good deal on the radio and the install was cheap. This was three months ago. Now I just realized that my hazard lights don't work. And I don't want...
