I'm with you there. No question it's disappointing.

    Mazda dealers in calgary

Unfortunately for all of us, most rust warranties are for perforation only, surface rust is not covered. This is typically stated clearly, and is by no means unique to Mazda. Dale.

    Mazda dealers in calgary

I had really good experiences with North Hill, both for sales (Ken Nahn sold me my car) and service (talk to Shawn - she's very easy to deal with). I have always been satisified with the service work they did. Past tense now because I am in Atlanta these days...

FS: Very Rare 2002 Protege ES GT

Maxx, thanks for providing some actual useful information. Regardless of the car's actual path to get the MP3 seats, it is what it is and looks like it's in good shape, and is definitely an ES GT, as marketed in Canada. The asking price seems spot on for the area either. Look on...

    Speaker Baffles

Door speakers normally are designed to rely on the cavity in the door for proper bass response. Adding the baffles effectively puts the speaker in a much smaller enclosure than what they were designed for. If you want to keep the baffles, for weather proofness, I suggest cutting out a big chunk...

    Any p5 owner from Canada....say hi~!

useless information You know, I think I have been a member of this board longer than any of the Alberta folks, yet I have the fewest posts.... hmmm....... I bet I'm the only person here that actually ORDERED my P5. I think mine came on the second shipment of P5s that ever came to Canada. We...

    Any p5 owner from Canada....say hi~!

I like my team to make it to the playoffs! Plus if they do well, then I can actually get playoff tickets. Thrashers kind of suck the last bit, but they are having a good season, check out the standings. It's fun to be able to walk up and get the cheap seats for $10 at the door. (first) I'll...

Used to be Calgary, now Atlanta. Go Thrashers!!

    Colder climates...

In Atlanta I don't need to worry about that crap any more!! In Cowtown I had the same thing - cold weather makes things, well, cold. I don't work so s*** hot in -30 either. I imagine any cars sold in Canada outside of the lower mainland should have a block heater added by default by the dealer...

    5 and winter driving

I have always been pleased with my P5 (for the last 4 years) in the winter. Especially since I have a 5 speed. Get a good set of winter tires and you'll love it. I put Nokian WRs (205/50/16) on the stock rims for year round driving. I lost a slight amount of lateral grip over the stock Dunlops...

    winter tires just in front?

Definitely go with 4 snows. I have had personal experience with mismatched tires, and the main issue you will have is that less traction in the back = oversteer. Braking and corners will in some circumstances cause your back end to be in front, especially if it is at warmer temps in the snow...
