I was wondering how the carpeting in other Mazda owners cars are holding up? Would you swap out your stock carpet for a custom colored one?

Try to find a way to get your hand inside the door towards the back of the door towards the latch. See if you can try to trigger the door unlocked or open from there. Sounds like actuator may be binding or the actual mechanism is jammed up.

I've noticed on my 05 Mazda3 driver seat. I ended up buying a pair of seats for $50 so that I can either swap out the frame or replace the actual mounts if they are bent. On your car I would either find a cheap seat, or try welding that piece back on.

An employee for Mazda had provided us a with both a Mazda6 and Speed6 for direct comparison. It was simpler for us logistically.
