    Purchasing a salvage title MP3?

That's about exactly what I was thinking. Thanks for all the experience and wisdom on this topic. I'm sure it was painful, but maybe others can benefit... even if it sucked to go through it.

    Purchasing a salvage title MP3?

I'm looking at a used MP3 soon, but the VIN shows it as a salvage title. The car is out of state and I'm in Massachusetts. * It has a Salvage Title * It was sold at a salvage auction * The current owner had it repaired and indicates that it is roadworthy and rides well. Even if it has been...

    FS: 2003 Protege5 in Mass. 50k miles

Here are some pic's I took this morning Got one call on this morning, listed it on cars.com. The bank still has my title, so I'd like to find a reasonable buyer that will work with me on the title transfer. Here's my eBay feedback for transaction confidence...

Or, maybe egg rolls! Depends on what restaurant you go to. Apparently asian restraunts are the best because they tend to use more pure veg oil, but who knows. It is fun to see on that site the rides that have been converted. Looks pretty respectable if someone will take their late model...

    FS: 2003 Protege5 in Mass. 50k miles

I drive mostly highway and average around 27-28 these days. That's not too bad, I know. However if I even run straight diesel say with something like a Jetta TD, I'm going to get closer to 50 Mpg. That's going to be close to $100 per month savings for me. Of course if I ran WVO, there's...

    FS: 2003 Protege5 in Mass. 50k miles

You will totally laugh. After years of wanting to get a turbo/SC, etc, I want to get a DIESEL now and figure out how to run it on WVO (Waste Veg Oil). Yeah, it will be a total slug, I know. I commute nearly 70 miles each day, and told myself I'd consider something like this if gas got over...

    Interior Air Vents questions

Yeah, but I'd rather have the flexibility. I'm capable of turning on/off the A/C button when appropriate, and that way I can operate the car more efficiently. I think it is similar to why people would choose standard transmission over automatic.

Excellent -- this is great info. Thanks to all!

    Interior Air Vents questions

Mine is a 2003 P5. Near as I can tell, when you switch the air to either "floor only" or either one of the "defrost" settings (on the windshield), the air compressor kicks on, regardless of whether the a/c button is in. That's kind of a drag, eh? I'd rather have it where I could punch on the...

Does emanage for N/A need 02 voltage fix?

I'll get a AF meter with a wide band O2 before long, so can definitely see what's happening from that end. Most likely the mileage change has something to do with my own driving style changing in response, tho'. So, I do have a timing light, but never hooked it up to this. Is there a hash...

Does emanage for N/A need 02 voltage fix?

Yeah, so far so good! Right now, I'm only tuning ignition timing and not fuel, as I still need to get a wideband 02 and A/F meter before I start messin' with that. I did put in a MSD knock alert so I don't blow anything up. Really that's it, I just hooked it up. The only thing is that you...

Does emanage for N/A need 02 voltage fix?

Hmmm, so maybe I'm too aggressive. I'm not hearing any knocking, but that may not mean anything. There's a screenshot on this thread where 1FASTMSP has his set to 5, so I thought 6 wouldn't be too radical, but maybe I'll pull it back until my MSD knock alarm thingy is in. I've driven it to...

Does emanage for N/A need 02 voltage fix?

Wow 63.5 degrees BTDC, yowza. With the emanage of course, I've added 6 degrees on top of whatever the stock setting is, which I have no clue. Maybe I'm at 16? My last two cars ('93 SE-R and a '94 Miata), it was just a matter of adjusting the distributor/crankangle sensor using the strobe...
