I think that the 2.5" exhaust would be ok, from the turbo back if you got rid of the 2 small cats and put in one highflow one. But I plan on getting forged internals and a larger turbo in time. I don't want to have a new exhaust made or purchase another one.
that didn't happen to be a orange msp was it? If it was then it was me. I know more than what I let on about this car. I have colder plugs at 11 psi with an injen intake. I also have a 3" turbo exhaust in the works. My trap speed was 98 mph and my 60' times were 2.114, 1/8 mile 9.04. Oh...
I believe you, I ran a 14.38 at 97.39 mphand a 14.41 @ 95.66 mph about a month ago. The weather was about 65 degrees. All I had was a AVCR boost controller and running right at 10 psi. It would spike to 11 psi at first then drop to 10 psi. I posted a thread about it on here I think that the...
the air temp was 65 deg. when I started my time trials, and it was on pump gas. when I ran the 14.39 and 14.42 it was some where between 65 and 70. As far as wheel hop = motor mounts the proteges motormounts are really soft and they cause things to move around which creates wheel hop. It...
no I didn't get any pictures of the corksport protege. I should of but I never seen them with the hood upon it to see the engine. I think that they have some japanese engine in their car that has a factory turbo on it. I asked them if they had any motor mounts to stop wheel hop and they said...
all the mods I have done is a apexi avcr boost controler and an apexi turbo timer/af ratio. I was running 11 psi of boost. The guys from corksport were there with their boosted protege and they were running 12.88. I'm not sure what set up they had on there protege but it was pretty fast!!! I...
just wanted to see what everybody else is runnin in the 1/4 mile. I went to the dragstrip in portland last night and my best time was 14.39 at 97.39 mph. I think that I ran faster twice but i let off the gas so I wouldn't break out of my dial in time. My time slip on that run was 14.67 at...
so how many of you guys want to meet at the woodburn drags on july 14? I'll be there for sure, it would be sweet to get a bunch of msp's together and smoke some hondas!!! lol(first)
hey that sounds like a good idea. I'm going to the drag races in woodburn in July. I think that there on the 11th I'm not sure we should meet on the day before in portland or at the drags
Mine did the same thing last night after some hard driveing, except that the idle kept going up and down about 100 rpms. I got out opened the hood to see if any thing was wrong and I just happened to tap on the recirc. valve and it started idleing fine. It's seemed like something was stuck and...
the reason why it's running rich is because the computer has the air from the bypass valve(blow off valve) preprogramed into it. the cars run rich stock and if you take away all that air that the bypass valve is putting back in and the computer is still putting the extra fuel in for the air...
