Yeah definitely interested to see how it looks after running that through and then seeing what you get at the next oil change interval.

I typically stick to 5k miles changes as I primarily short / city drive these days. Oil consumption is pretty normal occurrence so I'd wager over 7k+ miles, that 1.25 quarts isn't that unusual. I use 5w30 in mine and still from time to time add half a quart, give or take between changes.

Try using high mileage oil or additives. It can help seal up your engine and reduce consumption further

I am using high mileage. I have 153k miles on mine. Usually Castrol Edge or Pennzoil Platinum.

I would probably use some additional high mileage additives like liqui molys stop leak stuff, seal conditioner until it seals up

Yeah I think it has. These days I'm doing a lot of short trips / city driving so not the best.
