My guess is that is with the $2,000 Customer Cash rebate (standard rate finance or cash purchase). 15% is pretty much unheard of without rebates, but ~10%-11% off without rebates sounds like a phenomenal but possible deal. If he had loyalty as well, this makes it increasingly plausible.

Yep, $2,000 + $750 loyalty Mazda bux. The rest was dealer discount.

It's interesting listening to my brother this week as he compared his 2019 and 2025 signatures in his driveway. General feeling of "less nice" materials and touch points throughout and the wheels less nice and keyfob less nice. Just felt like as time marches on the manufacturers are cheapening things.

Haha, I'm a bargain shopper. The last three Mazda's I've bought were over 30% off MSRP. Two leftover mazda3 (2018's) in 2019 when the new generation body style was coming in. They were top trim GT hatches with tech and options. Basically $31k Mazda 3's that people don't wanna pay that kind of money for a 3. Did a two-fer deal for $41 k haha.

The other was our 2019 cx5 diesel we picked up in 2020 when they were finally tired of it sitting on the lot. I told them when it first came in that Mazda missed the target making the diesel only in the signature trim trying to compete with Mercedes and land rover or something . So I told my guy when he's tired of looking at it I'll buy it, but the first number is gonna be a "2".

That's how I like to buy cars. When I don't need to buy a car.

It's literally the same car. I noticed no such difference between my 2017, 2020, and 2023.

But yeah the keyfob was a downgrade. I don't know what they were thinking.

There was no Signature model in 2017.

That is true. But the overall build hasn't changed, just the features.
