Guide Mazda Firmware Update Information

Hello.

1. Mazda Demio 2017
2. 42.00.400 (no any letters)
3. ARD

I want to update to the latest 74.00.324 (I have it) but the car doesn't see it, I know I need an intermediate version first (like 55/56). I have 59 but "Validation failed". I also have 70.00.100A but the car doesn't see it.

Hi Guys..
Thank you @Antoine @Candurin for your help..

I completed the upgrading process... I jumped from 56.00.240 4A N to 74.00.324A 4A N directly.
I confirm, I didn't use any 70 version to reach the 74.00.324A 4A..

Mazda 6 Grand Touring LX 2.5, year 2017.

IMPORTANT NOTE: These files and processes are compiled from third party sources. Please be aware of the risks of performing these updates yourself. There is some potential to brick your CMU if some steps are missed or the wrong files are used. These files are being provided as a courtesy to our members, by our own community members, to allow others to avoid the potential dealer fees and time wasted in the dealership, waiting for a technician to perform these updates. Keep in mind that these files and the links that may be provided to you carry no guarantee that they will remain intact in the future.

Typically, most people will perform these firmware updates in conjunction with an Android Auto Apple CarPlay retrofit kit, which can be purchased or ordered from any Mazda dealer. However, these firmware updates may also resolve certain bugs and glitches in previous versions, and may also improve overall performance of the infotainment system.

The most recent, and final update at this time is 74.00.324A. This firmware version/format (.up) will not be installed on new Mazdas. You must use the correct region for your Mazda, as detailed below.

74.00.324A NA N for North America, USA, Canada, Mexico, etc.
74.00.324A EU N for Europe and UK, etc.
74.00.324A 4A N (ADR) for Australia, NZ, Middle East, Thailand, South Africa, Oceania, etc.

Thank you so much! Is there any thumb drive restrictions? Size, brand, etc…? Other than FAT 32 format?
The instructions from other firmware versions mention it's recommended to get the USB drive from a reputable brand, between 16-32GB.

The firmware file should be the only file on the drive.

Also, for some reason, only 1 of my car's 2 USB port picked up the firmware from the USB drive. I suggest you try both ports if it didn't work the first time.

I have a 21 CX-5 too. Same firmware version as yours before update.

Here are the links to the firmware and instructions. Credit to @Candurin .
Moderator: Links removed.
You will need a USB Drive, formated FAT 32. Save the firmware on to the USB drive and follow the instructions. It will take around 20 mins. Good luck.

Please delete this! There’s a reason why I just don’t publish the links in the general thread.

Thank you @Candurin and @newnewnew. I did the update to my CX-5 today and it worked flawlessly. Really appreciate this, my local Mazda dealer are ridiculous with their labor rates to do things like this. They tried to charge me $499 to sell and program a new fob. I found one on eBay for $70 and found a scan tool to do the programming for much less.
