Does anyone know ow where I can get the files to update to latest version? I tried dming Camdurin but must be very busy. I have a 2018 cx5 thanks

So im confused as well. I bought the car with the updated aa acp unit installed and I think it may have had the latest version. Not sure. I had to do a factory reboot and I know now I have version 70.00.021 na n. Does the unit need to be uninstalled prior to updating firmware or is ok to leave because it's already 70.00.021?

Please follow the directions on the first page of this thread. It's important to note that there is a callout in that first post to please exercise patience and understanding while waiting for a response from @Candurin. Remember that this assistance and the files are all being provided for free.

If i buy a android/apple car play unit from a used scrap cx5 2021 and take the harness.
To you tink it will be fit on my cx5 2018 GT
I got firmware 59.00.546 i could go direct on firmware 74.00.324A

As long as it’s the same generation, it should be fine. You cannot mix newer gen (7) with previous (6) nor vice versa.

Updated from 56.00.513 4A N straight to 74.00.324A_4A N without going to 70.00.100A first. Took about 40 minutes. Thank you @Candurin !

Hi everyone,

I have a 2017 Toyota Yaris iA (North American model) currently running OS version 59.00.450 NA N. I'm looking to update directly to 74.00.324A and was wondering:

• Is it possible to upgrade straight to this version without intermediate updates?
  • Asking because I did not see the .450 version mentioned in this forum
• Has anyone else with a rebranded Mazda2 (like the Yaris iA) done this successfully?
• Any tips or things to watch out for during the update?

It is really sad how folks communicate in the world today. They want answers "stat" no matter if it's free, or paid. So quick to criticize someone who is doing something for nothing in return. They seem to think you are waiting by your computer looking for requests and will respond immediately. You aren't a bot....

I'll let you know soon. I just bought a 2019cx-8 JDM import that has had its firmware changed so the dash reads in english. (The infotainment language is just a setting in the infotainment menus...)
I'll post up what firmware I've got installed when the car arrives next week

Firstly shout out to @Candurin who came through really quickly with the files.

I managed to do the update without any dramas by following the instructions to a t.

However I now have a couple of questions / issues.

1) I had previously purchased an ANZ maps SD Card. I have now found that the GPS system in Japan is different to the rest of the world. Does anyone have experience with this / know how to replace the GPS antenna? Basically there is no GPS reception showing, despite in the previous firmware version the compass and coordinates were working.

2) randomly the radio tuning is out of whack. It is now a difference of 2.5 on the FM dial. Is there a setting I need to change here?

Good morning all! It is bittersweet that I will be stepping down as the provider of all the firmware support for the forum. This has nothing to do with recent activities of some folks being impatient (which I get it and I'm truly over that, it was just a long day).

As of tomorrow, I will be the proud owner of an AUDI Q6 (yup, trying an EV for the first time. Just a lease though!).

My wife and our oldest son will still have Mazdas (my son will be getting my CX-5 as it only has 42k miles on it!), but I will not be as active as I am now.

Having said that... If there is anyone who is interested in carrying on the firmware support, please let me know and I can walk you through providing links and what not. I would also be glad to continue to host the FW, so all the links will still work (if that ever changes I will certainly let you know).

If anyone is interested, please DM me and I can walk you through things and how I have simplified the process over the past year.

Thank you to each of you who have supported my questions and given me many ideas to improve or modify my CX-5 which has given me a lot of joy over the past 6 years. I am equally glad that our son will get to enjoy it for many more years!

I will continue to respond and provide FW for anyone who asks (just ask once!) until a successor is established.

This isn't goodbye as much as it is "I'll see you later than you'd like"
