Can I use CX-9 winter wheels on a CX-90?

Hey,

Considering upgrading my CX-9 to CX-90. I have a good winter wheels with 255/55/19 winter tires on them. Can I keep them for CX-90?

Numbers look acceptable, did Mazda change offset or smth?

Looks like CX-90 stock 21" offset is also ET45:

18x8" et45 20.97 lbs/9.51 kg
19x8.5" et45 23.17 lbs/10.51 kg
21x9.5" et45 27.98 lbs/12.69 kg

Comparison with my winters looks acceptable, but might be a bit narrow.

I think it's doable. Backspacing could be a concern but I don't think the 90's brakes are big enough to cause fitment issues.

So long as it clears the calipers like someone else mentioned, i think it would be a good choice for your winter set.

going narrower is a good thing for snow traction.

ideally you would want a a 60 aspect ratio if running 255/XXr19, to bring the rolling diameter close to stock, but you're correct in pointing out that the difference is still going to be within range.

I know this has been a common belief but it has been tested and shown to not be the case. Don't worry about seeking out narrow wheels and tires for the winter.

Yea i've heard this a lot but I'm not sure if it is true.

I am wondering is my 205 width winter tires will be wide enough for my tuned FWD 6. Stock is 225. I wouldn't mind going up to 235 for my summer set due to the tune.
