What have you done to your CX-5 today?

Changed oil/filter, flushed transmission fluid (3.5 quarts for anyone keeping track), rotated tires and tightened a loose rear sway bar end link nut.

Question for Anchorman on pressure washing the door shuts and inside bits. Do you re-lube the hinges and if so what do you use? Knowing me, some water would find it's way into the car so that's why I don't do it other than giving a wipe.

I don’t dwell inside the door shuts and honestly, no more water goes inside than it would opening the door on a rainy day (which we do a lot as you well know!). Every couple of months, I go with the oil can and a cloth and carefully oil the hinges. I can’t do with a big dirty patch around them - I know, I get annoyed at myself at times ;-)

Put on some 20's today :D

I originally ordered 19's and the shop somehow screwed up the order and got 20's. I ended up keeping the 20's but had to get new tires so that was kind of unexpected expense right there. Overall kinda glad I went 20's instead of 19's lol

They look very nice but you have to watch the rolling radius otherwise you can run into speedo problems and reduced brake efficiency.

I just use a cloth to dry inside of the doors. Doesn't take that long

Good point. I guess I like to find excuses to use tools :)

A leaf blower is great to quickly dry off in between doors/hatch, the front grille, 4 rims and tires, water behind side mirrors, water stuck in the shark fin, water in the windshield cowl/wipers, rear emblems, tail lights, brake lights, rear bottom red reflectors, rear badges, rear camera, and license plates = aprox 10 minutes.

I used to use an inexpensive battery operated leaf blower for all that until it died and I discovered the Worx leaf blower https://www.worx.com/blowers-mulchers/cordless-blowers/20v-air-cordless-leaf-blower-wg545.html
This sucker has a nozzle attachment which makes it a far better tool for blowing water out of crevices than other similar tools and the battery lasts forever. You can get them even cheaper than the one pictured if you shop for refurbished units online.
