Window switches on 2018

Actually US Mazda6 has many features where US CX-5 are missing, including a lid for dash cubby and covered foot rest:

1. One-touch open/close non-driver power windows with illuminated switches.
7. Center dash vents open/close dial control.
11. Glove compartment light.
12. Foot area courtesy lights.
13. Paddle shifters.
16. i-ELOOP.

Back to 2016/2016.5 MY, Mazda6 had already offered memory seat、power passenger seat、overhead ambient lighting、LED interior lighting、and 11-speaker Bose with 2 additional dash tweeters which were all missing in CX-5!

Over here my Mazda 6 doesn't have glove compartment light.

I was thinking about that! If I look where mine is wired into the loom and then get a part number for the light anybody missing it could add it. It’s very simple to clip under the dash and it’s just fed off the sidelights so no switch.

Keep reminding me if interested!!!

As for folding mirrors, they are becoming common place here in recent times

Looked at the UK Mazda site, and power folding outside mirrors are available on the Mazda 6 over there.
Why on earth would they not offer that feature here? I don't get it.

I also searched youtube for some videos, and there are a few showing the folding mirrors working with the OEM keyfob.
I want that on my 6. Argh.

The latest CX-5 folding mirrors work with either the fob or button on the door handle so long as the switch inside is set to auto. So unlock it and mirrors unfold. Lock it and mirrors fold

Right. But they also have to save "little" features to add to the next model when there won't be any major changes.

This "little features" update is what has happened to the 2018 model update. Next model should be an all new model

After 2.5 years? Seems fast compared to other manufacturers; many are on a 4 or 5 year cycle. But I'm new to Mazda. Maybe they're quicker.

2017 model is not all new. Still has basic underpinnings of Gen 1. That's why all new should be around 2020/2021

I misunderstood, I thought you were saying the 2019 would be the new model, being the next one. I also thought there was a major update in 2016.5. But maybe I misunderstood that update, too.

My apologies if I wasn't clear.

I don't think there will be a major change 2019 model unless the competition forces them to do so.

That's what I would like.
I wonder if it will be part of the update for the 2018 M6 that was unveiled in Los Angeles?
Does the 2017 CX-5 have it?
