What did you pay for your CX-5?

2017 CX-5 AWD Touring wiith Preferred package in Crystal Blue with Wheel Locks.
MSRP: $28990
Paid: $27,000
Original Mileage was 52mi but I put 50 on it just test driving it (Never had a dealer so generous. They essentially loaned me the car for the afternoon).

Certainly not the 10% deals I've seen on here but at about 7%, I'm happy. They also gave me top dollar for my trade.

pulled the trigger on Labor Day (DFW area)

2017 CX-5 Touring FWD Snowflake White Pearl Mica

MSRP: $27,055
Offer: $23,800; that is $3,255 (or 12%) off MSRP

traded in my (very) old car for $500
so it was $23,300 before TTL and $25,150 OTD

a little high was the APR: 4.7% for 72 months. they didn't allow me to combine the manufacturer cash reward and 0 APR. my wife and I actually both got 800+ credit score for years. probably because we didn't have any loan history. will pay it off quickly or refinance

another thing is the car already had 300 miles on it (relocated from another dealer according to this dealer), does that sound reasonable?

anyways, zoom-zoom! (burnout)

bought my first car this labor day and i absolutely love it (DFW area)! The dealer transferred the car from another dealer for me so it came with 38 miles on it.

2017 CX-5 Touring FWD with the Preferred Equipment Package Snowflake White Pearl Mica
MSRP: $27,835
Offer: $24,099
Total w TTL: $26,002

This was my very first car, so pretty happy with the deal that I got. I dealt with all the dealers via email and phone and got verbal quotes before going to the dealer. Only thing I was unhappy about was my APR 5.2% for 60 months due to no previous auto loans.

Congrats! Looks like we're in pretty much similar situations (except you got $500 more discount than me. congrats!)

For yourself and others,
We were told the same thing from 3 other Mazda dealers. If they gave us the lower price, then they didn't give us the 0.9% APR (amazing credit). One finally did budge and we did get the low price and the 0.9% APR. We were impressed that they also gave us top dollar for our trade in, which we didn't expect....

We read and heard from multiple sources that you have more negotiating leverage at the end of the month compared to the beginning. If the dealership is really reaching for specific monthly sales goals and they are short, they are more likely to lose margin to make themselves look better for various internal financial reasons.

We signed on the last week of the month.

Spent several days over the weekend shopping around for girlfriend's first new car.

2017 CX-5 Touring AWD with Preferred Equipment Package in Eternal Blue with 22 miles on it
MSRP: $28,935
OTD: $26,177

No APR deals, ended up getting 4.7% for 60 months but she will pay it off in full in the next few months.

OTD (taxes and all?) at $24,177? Damn. That's good if the case.

Though I get the sense you mean before taxes, etc. (still good deal)

That is a 16.44% discount. Impressive. Eternal blue is not a popular color, maybe that helped?

Would you mind posting a breakdown of incentives that were applied (customer cash, loyalty, dealer discount....) ?

Even before tax, that is a great deal...
22 miles? Could have been used for testdrive a few times...

Got a quote from a mazda dealership in Seattle area for a 2017 AWD Grand select CX5.

MSRP: 31635
Price before TTL: 28750

The car has been sitting in the lot since 7/6.
I am trying to lower the price to 27800 but dealer refused.

Is there any room to haggle for a better price?

I am going to purchase it by cash but haven't told the dealer yet.

Does anyone have any idea when cashback deals will come to the Southern California area?
The only incentives for my area are 0.9% financing. It used to be 0%

When I use some zip codes from other states I see $1,250 cash back.

Whats the thinking behind this? Are they selling well in California? I've only seen 3 in the wild.

I just signed today for the same car from a dealership in MA. For you reference, my lease details are:

$2,000 down
$315 a month

This was for 3 years/12k miles. Also, I was turning in my Mazda3 lease, so I was eligible for the mazda loyalty special offer. So the dealer gets an additional $750 from Mazda capital services.

Hi, what's dealership it was? I also live in MA and looking for a good deal for CX-5 GT.
And I also have a question where is the price bottom line for CX-5 GT? 300$ ? I see you got 315$ per month it seems like a good deal, doesn't it?

Here is what I would find a reasonable price for cash deal (or loan)

1. find invoice (google is your friend)
2. subtract (1) by $1250 (customer cash now from MazdaUSA)
3. subtract $500 if you own another Mazda in your household
4. subtract $500 if you are in military

The number you get from (4) is your base price to negotiate from.
Keep in mind that dealer has holdback (a few hundreds), and volume discount (another few hundreds).
So, you can go lower than (4).

If you qualify for S-Plan or Employee Discount, that is extra $$$ off.
