CX-5: Sportiness ... what's your speed?

I found that the front end tend to "push" a bit.
Quite possibly down to driving style? When driving fast I tend to be a "slow in fast out" kind of driver. I enter the corners and trail brake to the apex and then gas it out. The rear biased brakes on this car combined with my driving style (derived from MC racing, can't shake it at this point) accounts for a nice rear end dance at the limit.

Honestly I'd like to disable it, but from my understanding the fuse controls the abs as well. I don't want to disable that for road use. I'll have to look through the service manual to see how it's interconnected.

I might pull that next time I'm on a trail. I really really dislike ABS in the dirt, really screws things up when things get sloppy. On the road, I wouldn't want a car without it.

I also priced out GM products when I was looking for a lease vehicle. I looked at the Canyon and Colorado. I have to agree with others, many of these vehicles are Soooo overpriced it's ridiculous. Same option package I have on the CX5 costs $20k more.

Id Get a BMW X SAV before I bought some bloated overpriced GM/Ford

But to get back in topic, I drive my wife's CX-5 pretty conservatively since I totaled her last one. [emoji23]

Good one!

Find me a company that does it better. It's easy to post an emoji. Much harder to back it up with fact.

You will find the GM Camaro (ZL1) hanging out with the GT-R, and the Z06 with the Porsche 918, regarding lap times...both RWD cars comparing to AWD cars of similar or greater power...hmmm...GM might know something about a suspension...

I think last time you responded with an emoji was when you whined that a turbo version of the CX-5 would cost way too much and I showed you the 2.0XT Forester starting at $29,XXX...

I probably entered the corner a bit fast because of lack of power and was planning to carry more momentum, as well as being used to my Grand Jeep Cherokee, which was much more neutral in a corner. A bit of trail braking planted the front end again, but it was a much more "front-heavy" feel than my Jeep. Likely due to the suspension on the Jeep, as well as the torque from the HEMI. However, even in traction compromised situations, the Jeep was very neutral in corners when it broke traction. I was just expecting a bit more neutrality from the CX-5, I think.

GM's SUV's are $$$$ and I don't know why. Nothing about them commands the price.
