"Short" Cargo Box vs. Midsized THULE

The options list for the CX 5 includes a "short" cargo box.
My THULE was on a Highlander and a Venza.
I have dry fitted it on the CX and it seems fine - no pic. Fits w/ fin.
Any CX owner with experience or thoughts with a "long" cargo box please share.

I also wonder about this too. I have a thule ascent 1500 box (midsize 176cm). I wanted to know if would clear the shark fin the stock oem rail height.

I have the Thule Atlantis 1600 and it did not fit. I needed the front crossbar to be moved more forward by a few inches (to clear hatch and fin). I ended up having to get the Thule crossbars to get it to fit. Looking at the box mounting dimensions mine has a rear clearance of 17 inches and yours is 15 inches so you have a little more room to work with, so the best answer I can give is maybe.
