spark plug gap

Hey all,

THe manual says to gap our plugs anywhere from .04 to .044. Does it matter which one - my gapper has both. Maybe it's such a small difference it doesn't matter but I thought I'd ask.

only copper need to be adjusted and .044 is what i would use

Set them toward the small end, as the electrode wears the gap widens. Chances are your the little gapper tool isn't accurate down to .004 anyway, just get it as close as you can.

true, however .044 is the most common gap

I set them closer to the smaller end (.04). What difference will that make? I mean, it does give a range in the manual...
