But gas prices will go back up. When it was $1.50/l people lobbied for gov support to protect the public from high prices. Now the gas companies will lobby for gov support to protect against a Low price. Can't win heh.
Sucks to see another msp down but glad your ok. I'd prob punch the guy in the face for that s***. But your car prob did a pretty good job of thay already heh.
I don't see that ever being worth the trouble, pay someone $3-4k for a decent paint job or maybe save a grand or two doing some work myself. Would much rather just buy one or build a motor for one of them, especially considering any spicy for sale nowadays needs paint anyway. I would like to trade the other titanium for a spicy or maybe a speed3 once it's running.the problem for me is that we dont actually refine any of our oil into fuels here. we have one of the largest untapped reserves of oil in the world but are only using 3% of the capacity. we sell the crude VERY CHEAP to foreign bodies to refine and sell it back to us for way more. just doesnt seem intelligent to me as it consumes fuel to transport and make the fuel that we then have to buy back... we should just refine it here, sell it here.. sell the surplus internationally.. but most of our resources are basically being auctioned off and i dont like what that means for our future generations.
but. doesn't matter to have an opinion really. s**** decided and will continue regardless of how many people make a stink. wars get started over this s***.
horns, if you like spicey so much why not just paint one of your msps spicey lol. people make paintwork out to be a really big deal but painting in itself is piss easy. its all in the prep work that takes the time and care.

Hornsfan would you mind telling me the size for the bolts on the mbsp and the oil pan? ThanksMy MSP is my winter beater, and it's still rust free!
Yesterday I removed the MBSP and cleaned the MSP MBSP to install on the JY motor. The inside of the engine is spotless, I believe the 25k mile claim from the seller. Need to install the oil pan, clutch, replace the water pump and timing belt then I can drop it in the car and get it running.
The heads are all 14mm, I believe they are M10x1.24 but there are at least 3 different lengths so I will have to get back to you on that.
Anyone know where I can get a gasket for the oil pump pickup tube to the MBSP? All I can find is the O-ring that goes between the oil pump and MBSP, I need the gasket between the MBSP and pickup tube. I can see pics online included with a pump but I can't find it separate, even on rockauto.
Typo, if you only need the oil pan bolts they are all the same length. The MBSP on this motor is intact and clean, I will sell it cheap with all the hardware if you need it. It's not from an MSP so you would have to tap it.Are you sure on the thread pitch? Is not 1.25 ? Thanks. I have a spare forged short block and a new AWR pan I just need to get a mbsp and start assembly.
