Try Zetaproducts.net. They have a cushion attached with a Velcro - like strap that goes around existing armrest. It moves around a little to much, but stays in the general location and room enough for two elbows.
I bought an armrest cushion from eBay a while back. It looked ugly even though it had the matching red stitching. I got used to the lower armrest and threw out the cheap quality cushion. I think it was $20 and shipped from Asia.
I bought the same cushion and have been using it for over 6 months. The quality I think is quite good for something that cost 20 dollars. It matches as close as it can get without it being custom made to match the interior. No sign of wear on it yet, and I love that my arm isn't super low on the armrest.
To each his own I guess.
For only $20,I'll give it a shot and just ordered one.
Good luck on that! The problem if the CX-5's interior was designed around passenger car metrics and then they put raised seating in to make it feel more SUV-like. Only problem is they forgot to raise the console and door armrest heights as well so everything matched! Check the CX-9 sometime if you want to see how it shoulda' been done!I have one as well and for the price I like it.
I'm still trying to figure out what I can use the on the armrest of the door to raise it up too.
Shouldn't have happened. I ordered the same on a year ago and they got it right. I think you'll find the vendor pretty cooperative. They'll probably reship the correct one.
Don't worry; they won't ask you to ship it back. That would hardly be worth it for anyone. Just list it in the classified section here for $10.
