I was trying to get to my son's school from a location I've never een before and discovered my the NB1 unit couldn't find my son's school or the road it was on. It's been there for almost 5 years.

I updated the map a few weeks ago, this is not a good sign.

sure about the address that you are typing?
Not typing "son's school" lol ;-)

On the NB1, My house address points to a house about half a mile away from mine... and the street as been there for the last 10 years (it was a new street when I build my house 10 years ago)

I also had to contact Google to have the name of the street changed on their maps... its weird because they even came for street view, and we can clearly see the right name on the street signs in street view, but they still had the wrong name on the maps.

You can submit changes to TomTom, that's what the MapShare feature of TomToms are for

I had to use Google maps on my Iphone instead. Such a joke it doesn't have the street in it's mapps.

All modern in-dash GPS systems will do that if the address is saved as the "Home" location. It's to avoid a car thief from finding where you live. They figure that you should be familiar with your streets once you get to your neighborhood.
