Entertainment package on 2014 cx9 GT - rear view mirror visibility

Hi,
I am looking into buying a CX9 GT with entertainment package.
The DVD player with 9-inch screen is of the flip down roof mount type. The dealer I am working with does not have a car with this option available, so if I want it I have to buy it without seeing it.
Does anybody on the forum has it? I want to know if, especially when open, it limits the visibility through the central rear view mirror. If you could post a picture of how the visibility through the mirror is affected would be great.
Thanks.

Mat

Cant the dealer just cut a file folder to the size of the screen, and tape it to the headliner of a car they have on the lot? Should give you an idea if they can't locate the exact model. Or try another dealer.

I almost bought one with the DVD player, but decided against it. But I never thought to check to see if it blocks the rear view when I test drove it. From a quick google search, I found this post on this site where the owner says it does block the rear view. It's a 2008 model, but nothing major has changed in design, so it probably still applies. There's also pictures in the post.

I opted against the DVD because I would rather have the sunroof. Too bad you cant get both together... but i much prefer the sunroof feature.

There are options to install DVD / screens in the head rest.
I would go with something you can take with you when it comes time to sell the car.
There is no trade in value with a entertainment system and for the cost you can use that money else were and install something better and usable elsewhere or another vehicle.
Just my thoughts.

2 iPads are probably cheaper than the factory DVD...

.. iPads are probably cheaper ...
Absolutely. I fully agree with tex2670. iPad or Android tablet would be a cheaper option. No mass with discs, more video formats to playback, games apps and etc.
