FIRST it was just me to please (no SO/wife or kids when i was house shopping)
I knew that i would be looking for a "starter home" at 2BR/1BA, BUT its got an unfinished basement that i plan to finish and make it a 3BR/2BA. I found an area close to where i was renting my apartment with STUPIDLY LOW taxes, and looked in that area for houses i liked.
i knew the sellers had already bought another house and assumed they would be motivated to deal, so i kinda lowballed on a little bit of a fixer-upper. the bones are great and it didnt show well cause of how dated alot of things in the house were.

well maybe, i have a FWD car in the driveway and this summer ill have a RWD car in the garage so i guess itll kinda have quattro LOL

Roughly the same size as mine then. Def. have the room to make a living quarters and kick ass mancave/theater. Our 12yo son keeps asking if I'll move his bedroom down to the 'playroom' side of the basement. Would be easy enough since there is already a divider wall down the middle with two doors at either end. Simply throw up a frame and sheetrock from the middle wall to the exterior wall leaving the doorway to the other half open and bam. Instant ~550sq bedroom. Mom isn't too keen on the idea though. lol
