2014 B-Spec Racing

Derrick,
Congratulations on two great wins at Fontana. Saw you on Saturday. Watched from all over the track. Enjoyed talking with you. You did great. Solved the mysteries of Fontana. Kept edging away from the Fits. Figured you would make it two on Sunday.
Congratulations.

It was great to meet you there at the track and your 2 looks great. Sunday was much easier as I had a chance to digest what I learned during the race in Saturday. I even moved the bar higher by setting another track record over the fast time I set on Saturday by a few tenths as well.

Ill be in buttonwillow, but I wont race. Are you going to race at the import fest at fomoso raceway feb 16?

You are more than welcome to stop by and say hello on the April event. We will not be at the import fest.

Good job out there Derrick. Big improvement over last year. Keep those Hondas behind you. ;)

Thanks!

Driving has improved a bit but the car setup is the big one. We have it nailed right now and the car is great to drive fast.

Wahoo!

It would be nice if we can get a mini out west to toss onto the pile and see what happens with 5 brands going at once.

Two more Honda boys (likely the same two factory cars, just two new drivers) along with our BS Yaris are signed up for the Cal Club school next weekend. The Yaris driver has even expressed an interest in going to the Inde race. We will see if he changes his mind after actually driving the car. (wink)

There is also a BS Yaris being built in Texas (we could not talk him out of it), it was caged recently, and we had a spare suspension kit so we are sending that down to help get him on track.

Are you heading to Inde for the event? I hope the Yaris does make it out to Inde, it is the only car I have not raced on the track and it would be good to see how it stacks up.

I was not planning to attend, long drive, middle of nowhere, might not have much of a class to race with. I would rather put the money to running one of the MRLS events, or maybe hit the Portland Majors. However, if someone (like our BS Yaris driver) wants to help cover fuel I may pull out the big trailer and make the trip.

This is exactly how I am able to do Inde, I am paying for my sale of the fuel for the 4 southern Majors events this year, makes it more affordable for both parties with Joey Jordan Motorsports. That and the get an extra person who knows the Miatas they run inside and out :)

Too bad on Inde, it looks like we will have the pair of Honda fits from HPD to party with and hopefully the Yaris.

South America sounds much more fun weatherwise though, lol

No Yaris at Inde in any class. I have no interest in going, and Bobby has a work conflict.

Yeah those too. You don't like the track at Inde?

Never driven it. However, the reviews I got from people that went last year are not enough to entice me to make the trip. I would rather spend the money on one of the Regionals at MRLS.
