2008 CX9
I've got a 2008 CX9 with the NAV system. I bought it used, so I'm not too familiar with the configuration of the radio. How do I figure out the Satellite radio number? The dealer said I have to pull out the radio to get the number? I find that hard to believe. Anyway to get this from the radio without pulling it?

You usually tune the radio to channel 0 or 1 and the "Radio ID" appears in the display. I believe my 2012 has it on channel 1.

Yea, that's what I thought too, but I can't even get the info channel to come up. It has a SAT button, but nothing happens when I push the button.

Yeah, which is why I think you have to pull the radio. Have you looked through all your documentation in the glove box to see if its in there somewhere? Mine had the new car paperwork in the glovebox and has the rfid codes printed on the paperwork....maybe the sat code is printed on the paperwork somewhere.... Good luck.

Check out Midwest Mazda c lub on facebook....they are a huuuuuge mazda group in Louisville and meet up every thursday. Unfortunately for me I'm in Lexington and they never come here.

You may want to try calling Sirius or XM also - could possibly have it recorded via the VIN if the prior owner had a subscription or free trial for any period of time. They track accounts via the Radio ID or VIN.

I agree--I would call first. Because of this thread, I decided to hit the ESN button on my screen (I do have nav), and it did show me the serial number, but also displayed a generic message to call the Sirius 800 number to activate a radio (even though mine is already active). I don't think Sirius intends that you have to pull a radio out in order to activate service--most people aren't going to do that.
