What have you done to your MS3 today?

got my new ap

maps loaded on, will install in the AM before work

need to find a good mounting solution so i can sell my DH, DH mount, and cpe triple gauge pod

i pulled one of those kramer moments last weekend

i typically get 280ish miles per tank, had 58 miles to go on a road trip with 53 miles left according to the computer

computer is bs, hit 0 with 24 miles to go

i chickened out at 10 miles to go (315 on the tank)

14.2 gallon tank, i put in 13.919

im hardcore and live life on the edge lol

My new car has a 16.9 gallon tank and I'm sitting at 281 miles and the gas light has been on for around 10-15 miles. I actually miss the MS3 gas mileage/range. Haha.

Genpu has a good bit bigger tank. I have 120 miles on this tank so far. Range computer says I have 270 or so to go.

changed the top hats

checked all my control arm bushings/end links

raised the front by about 2 inches

car rides better but still clunking

my guess is its the swaybar bushings which means lowering the subframe

bah this s*** is ******* annoying

Car is now stock again. Removed the following: indy fog lights, mscai, hidden aux cable, front tow plate, hidden satellite antenna, "turbo" badge, and various other little things.

I'm leaving the all weather mats, my custom made floor protector for the back, and mudflaps

I'm a little melancholy today....it's been the greatest car I've ever owned in my 13 yrs with a license and 11 vehicles + 2 motorcycles.

But, it's time to move on to a new warranty and a better mileage vehicle. I'm going to receive it next week

No frills Hyundai elantra gt. Only option I chose was color, and they located one with about $100 or so dealer add-on
For its price it really is a no brainer. It has more standard equipment and more interior volume, and the discounts through Hyundai were incredible.

So when the "numbers" meeting happened they opened with a $9200 offer for the speed. I was looking for $10k so that's when I started to play "I'm walking on the deal". Eventually they offered $10,500, which I was very happy with, since it has more than average miles and hail damage.

I'm technically losing on the deal since I haven't had a car payment in 3 years and insurance is more expensive on a new vehicle. But if my maintenance and fuel calculations hold true it should only cost me another $40-50 per month more for the more new car. And with that I'm getting a new warranty with a new vehicle.

The decision was a purely personal one. If I was going solely by numbers I probably wouldn't have gotten rid of the speed. However, as the miles increased so did the looming possibility that there could be some kind of catastrophic failure. And that is something I can't afford

It's also good to kind of tame things a little. As fun as the speed is, it will always be fwd. And as long as I need 4 doors and plenty of cargo area I will be driving a fwd. Eventually when the kid is grown and the wife and I are by ourselves, and I have decent money I may get a proper sports car (if they exist 15 years from now)

Haven't been on here for ages since I've been going to school and not doing too much to my car lately. Just rolled over 59,000 miles which isn't bad for an 08. Just hanging out going to autocrosses, track days, and instructing at the track between going to school. Car is still loads of fun (even when it destroys my tires after 10 laps). FYI all it takes to beat a $70,000 Porsche Cayman R on the track is a set of R comps. Sent my good friend, who you may have seen videos of his 961awhp "3DX" Evo 10 on 1320video, spinning through the weeds as he tried to keep up!

Dropped my car off at a friends shop today for a big change to the car. Updates to come!

ALSO SELLING BRAND NEW SPEED3 CAR COVER!!!! BUY IT SO I CAN BUY BOOKS FOR COLLEGE!
