The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

FWIW, you can't just go out and buy stiffer springs unless you don't care about the handling/ride quality. Springs work best when matched with properly valved dampers.

Lots of engineers around here. They'll get you for the whole damping/dampering/dampening thing.

Hahaha. No problem. FWIW... that's a new one to see. Normally I see "Dampening." Like we're watering flowers or something.

So I found something last night that I found pretty funny. Gonna see if I can post it up here. If not, maybe Evan or Pablo can. I sent it both to them last night.

Everyone knows that your springs work so much better when they're properly moistened.

The manufacturer should be able to give you an acceptable range for the spring rates that you can safely go

I know thats why I haven't bought anything yet. I need to find out what the H&R's come with then figure out what the struts can handle. I emailed H&R customer service with a few questions but no response yet... :(

I like how MSF is the "Number One Mazdaspeed Forum on the Net" when they only cater to MS3's and MS6's. They do know Mazdaspeed has been around a lot longer than most of them have been alive right?

What are the spring rates they come with Patrick? And I'm aware of the boost limit, I have it removed with the HT

dont take this as an asshole remark cause im not trying to be but i really dont know any other way to word this question either...
but you do know that the ms3's are boost limited in first and second gears dont you??
Hypertech asks you when you pair it to the car if you want to get rid of the boost limitation fro 0-60 im pretty sure. I still have mine limited, anything more boost in those gears is pointless.

Wait, the MS3 wasn't the beginning of Mazda?

*head explodes*

dunno about that, their MSP section has zero threads, and their miata section is not for MSMs only

Everything I have read said the spring rates are not published so I emailed their customer service then got forwarded to the technical support which I am still waiting to hear from

Why would you go there if you have a Miata??? Miata.net has everything technical, and ClubRoadster.net has the market cornered if you want to slam your Miata and install fender flares.
