The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

I also add FJ members like to take ff license plate covers and break them and then post them up all proud, they also like to go on FF and troll till they get banned or a infraction then post that up to show how cool they are.

^^^ Exactly. Can't we all just get along? haha

M247 is wonderful if you have a Protege. Otherwise, it's kinda dead. MSF is great for info but a lot of the members are pretty brash.

what youre describing sounds like the rift between MSF and 247...(exception being most of the ohio people)

There was a decent mix of both at the meet. Mostly being 247 guys

^ i personally LOVE the speed3 its a fantastic hot hatch, but alot of the new buyers of the cars are the same kind of crowd that bought srt4 neons, teenage boys either buy their own money (mostly mommy and daddys money) then proceed to drive like douches on highways, streets, stop lights etc etc. those are the ones we are talking about now and that section of owners for speed3 (especially via the used market) is growing very rapidly

the people you find in this section of the OH thread, many of the Pitt guys and some others around the country i know from Grand-Am events, race on tracks and try to promote the Mazda/Mazdaspeed names in a positive manner via many avenues, we dont appreciate a bunch of self entitled little twats coming in ruining that good reputation we worked for cause they think they are vin got-damned diesel

NO! You're dead to me if you use MSF. Just like Sahlen's is dead to you.

To Levi's point... now that there is a large amount of used MS3s they are more affordable to the kids that you describe.

Yes. Thats why ohio is the exception.

Dare you post anything about appearance on MSF, you'll most likely get called a homophobic slur that begins with F, and told to join 247 and get lost.

I wandered here one day to see what the fuss was about from seeing them rip 247 so much. I found this thread and met some people and that was that.

Forum wars are stupid...we all have the same passion

Ever seen a forum war between a bunch of old guys who go dig old dumps for bottles?
It happens... or rather, happened*

Lot's of protege info here :) I'm kind'uh surprised when i go look at the other sub-forums though and there's hardly any threads.

Club protege has like nothing about the BJ protege, but there's tons of info and crazy builds related to older mazdas on there. That forum makes me want to buy that banana yellow '88 323 out in dayton...

thanks will thats why I'm leaving at 5:15 know where I'm going rather than leaving at 5:45 and have no clue

I'm just messing with you. :) The last event started about a half hour earlier than normal too.

and i <3 NATOR

I was thinking about Jake's NATOR sticker the other day when I saw a NASA sticker on a minivan, and about what that means and everything. I read the thread about it and "signed up" on MSF but basically, NATOR is; "Don't be a douche to fellow Speed owners and help out when you can.". Right? But.... isn't that the deal with everything? Like everything in life?

damn I thought I had way more time the first time around but we were late. rolled in 3 minutes before registration closed
Also I put in that new o2 sensor and I'm getting about 4 more mpg and its great. so now I get around 240-250 out of a tank. totally worth being on the e now
