About to buy a '99 Protege. I've got a set of wheels that are 16x8.5 et26 16x9 et15. Would these be good offsets for directly bolting on? What's the center bore for our hubs?

alright i might get ripped for this but, would a 17x8 +48 still be sunk or flush.. also would i at that spec need to still run 205/40/17's... I know you guys are going to tell me that i need to roll my fenders i know this, i have an appointment with a shop in INDY...

Should be about even with the fender. I run 7" wide with +52 offset and I'm close to an 1" sunk in. Adding the extra inch plus dropping the offset 4mm should get it to the fender, and maybe a bit past. Roll to perfection

So would i need any camber what so ever to fit, or would the natural camber of a lowered car be just fine? Ill be able to tweak it when i get my coils im just worried when i put on with strut/spring combo... Thats what i like to hear, i sorta understand this offset stuff, but not 100%...

there will be zero camber change when lowering a protege. 17x8 +48 with 205/40s should fit without a problem and will sit just a little less than flush. Id recommend getting your fenders rolled as well

so would a +45 make it flush, just getting some ideas and still figuring out what i want to do...

Thought about it on the way home yesterday and I think my math was a wee bit off. Your offset is from the center of the wheel. A +45 offset on a 7" wheel and an 8" wheel would yield different results. Upgrading from a 7" to an 8" with the same offset would not gain an inch on the outside, but a half inch on the out, and half an inch on the inside. I run 7" +52. Your 8" is 25.4mm wider than my 7". By changing the offset from my +52 to your +48 (a 4mm difference) we can say that your wheel will gain 16.7mm on the outside and 8.7mm on the inside (in relation to my wheel.

With the picture below being my fitment. You can assume your wheels will look like this with an extra 1/2" on the outside

Thanks. Those are 1st Gen MS3 wheels (2008.5) 18x7 +52 without spacers on Megan Racing Springs. Front needs spacers bad

Hopefully I fit in here. 17x8 +35 wrapped in 205/40ZR17. Planning at least another inch of drop all the way around along with some camber to get her sitting just right.

First pics since the new wheels:

Camber: Front = -2 Rear = -4.5
Ksport GT Pro coilovers w/ rear camber plates. (Found out the come slightly slotted!)

The rears are about -4.8 right now and just a tad more in the front. I want to go lower in the front but at the moment I daily drive this and its nice not rubbing. The rears do rub on the outer rim protector lip on the tires. I need to roll the rears a little better to get rid of that. But it only rubs on some wicked bumps, pot holes, etc.. on the road. The fronts do not rub at all on turns or bumps.

is that as far as your gonna go, or do you plan on more camber and going lower? do you rub any when you turn?
