What do you think?

I think they are a waste of time and money in general. Especially on this car when it has so much lower body cladding anyway.

I personally would recommend guards. I got the OEM type. They look tight on my lowered car, but they also serve a purpose. I live in San Antonio where there is a lot of construction going on esp. highway with clay dirt everywhere. I also live in a suburb where new houses are being built an have been for the last 2 years. From rain/sprinkler system run off (my house is near the bottom of a street where the water drains into a sewer leading to a canal) the side of my car, and everyone else near us get mud splats right behind the wheel well. They will keep mud splats down. I believe I saw a post that someone bought those (at least they looked the same) and the fitment was good and color was good. They did not comment on the effectiveness. I don't see why they wouldn't work fine since they stick out past the fender. IMO, if you want to save on those, just make sure the seller has a decent return policy in case they are junk.

Im selling mine if anyone interested, i decided not to install them
Front and rear splash guard, brand new never installed

I like these ones in the pics. The rears don't look the same as the genuine Mazda ones I just put on. The ones I put on look like they stick out too far from the body. Plus, they don't say cx5 on them. How do I obtain these rears?

I'm about to be the proud owner of a 2014 CX-5 GT Tech. When I made the deal with the dealer, I asked for the OEM mudguards (and agreed to pay the extra for them). The dealer's now telling me that these cannot be installed on the GT because of the rocker panels. Is this true?

Not necessary in moderate climate of northern CA where I live, so I will pass.

I also have a 2014 CX-5 GT Tech AWD and the OEM mud guards installed just fine. You don't even need to take the wheels off to install them. They are very, very form fitting and sturdy.

Thumbs up! I always put them on my vehicles.

I found these on eBay, they look the same as the 1st post $39.95 w/free shipping

However, I bought some non-OEM for my Mazda 3 and they didn't fit well. I much prefer the OEM, just not the price.

Can you take a picture and show how these look on your car? I can't figure out how these would look. The rear ones almost seem too short (for styling only), but maybe I'm wrong.
