The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

I'll most likely be racing the 2 on the 30th :) Should be interesting in SMF just to get points.

When it comes to home maintenance stuff I would pick painting over anything. But I'm never satisfied with the way it looks. But from what I'm seeing if I started a painting company I potentially have 3 customers right here.

nothing happened over our weekend, but on friday we went to go see Portugal. The Man down in cincinnati, and today i bought a 929 master cylinder and my air filter came int he mail, so 929 master cylinder swap and cheap rigged up cold air intake this week

I bought an evil friends T-shirt... i'm trying to get my dad to wear it to work.

The sound guys were having a bit of a hard time, but that's no problem, just play a little louder- show was awesome (as always). They were in cleveland a day or a couple days before the friday show in Cinci. When we go out west for our extreme backpacking vacation (guaranteed nothing extreme to happen) we might try to catch them again.
Tickets were like $20 for this show and the one last year in columbus, totally worth it for portugal.

I know a friend whose brother paints houses (interior)............... with a spray gun. He said it saves SO MUCH TIME, he can knock them out quick.

and you are also taping off a metric s*** ton in order to paint that way.... you factor in his tape off/prep time and im willing to bet i can brush/roll damn near the same amount... unless the room is completely stripped has no flooring or baseboards and you want the walls and ceilings all the same color, i think spraying inside is a stupid idea that could actually make FAR more hassles than it saves

All things considered... that's pretty darn cheap. It would cost well over that much to find a decent OEM chassis and get it to that point.

yeah its amazing how expensive stuff like that is... my buddy has probably 10k to get his foxbody just to get it into a "roller" status... and thats just an OEM frame and its not as built up/complete as that frame you would get that Nate/Evan linked

Apparently my wife got fed up of my procrastination, and she painted the entire bathroom yesterday while I was at work.

Whoa, no need to get defensive. It may not be stupid in certain situations. Yes, the houses are usually stripped. They buy them to fix them up and flip them.

C'mon coffee... start working already. I can't seem to stay awake.

how much would you pay? I might be able to get rid of mine if I can get enough money together to get something that sounds good

i wasnt getting defensive... i was just saying thats not a very feasible way to paint unless the house is stripped

spraying a stripped house for the process of flipping/saving time etc etc is definitely the way to go.
my reply was more just saying its not something i would suggest doing in a house someone is actually living in and explaining that its probably not any faster after you factor in all tape time to tape everything off and cover everything if you were thinking of spraying a room in a house you lived in....

Just throwing this out there, my buddy from work, his brother is selling his 1997 Chevy Blazer with 61k miles for $4750. It has a 4.3liter V6 and runs like a champ. No rust and great condition. He would rather sell it to a friend of a friend than list it on Craigslist and deal with those weirdo's. I've got more pics and any info if anyone wants to PM me.

What if the friend of a friend is a weirdo?... Just sayin'! :D
