Congratulations to BlueTurd for his Autocross results

This Sunday I had the pleasure to watch blueturd do a fantastic job at a NY region autocross. He finished 2nd out of 22 in his class even though he could have taken 1st. He did a great job driving and with better tires he could do even better.

His car is on the Welcome page where he started some thread that combines autocross with Subbie Nostalgia. He also painted the wheels gold and lots of folks commented on how good the car looked on top of how fast it was. We seldom get a Honda Fit and never any other B segment cars show more than once. The car that took it from blueturd must have gone O/C but the corner workers failed to call it. Obvious by the times posted, the first place car had one run out of nine that was over 3 second faster than all the rest. This is autocross and them are the breaks.

I did this, saved me some serious money so far. Too bad you can't buy accessories at dealer cost

I will mention it to them next time we have a chat. I mean what's the big deal if we get a bike rack at dealer cost, right? It won't hurt autocross times too much!

No you can't buy them at cost, but at a substantial savings versus dealer list and even discounted prices. You just need to put the part number in. There's no lookup for them ( that I could find)

And congrats on the results..Where in NY?

Not to step on the thread but on the 26th, we're having an autocross at the Meadowlands with the NNJR SCCA. I know for sure they'll be multiple STF entries.

I actually haven't used my motorsport discount since I sold the miata. I tried uploading my race results a few times and yet I keep getting the reminder emails. In addition to the parts discount, you also get s-plan pricing on new cars (though I managed to do much better going another route).

There was a Fit that should up. A girl drove it. From what I seen she did well too especially for the first time. Hopefully more B segment cars start showing up.
