Factory uses motor oil from the pan injected instead. In an S5 RX7 and up, when the pump goes, it takes out the ecu also. New pump can cost a ton, and that's provided you didn't fry your motor when it died. People delete them and premix instead, its cleaner burning, and you can then run synthetic motor oil in the car.

Ill continue to look into it more... but i also found an ms3 that needed rear bumper paint and light hail damage for 7k

Chris, that looks like it was a hard hit. Glad you're ok, sorry about your car though. So no chance to salvage your go-fast parts? That's a bad deal!

Was about 35-40 mph into a truck. A good reason why I'm super against lifted trucks. That happened the day before Easter.

not me, i just got sent driving for 2 hours hahaha. but during that drive i did a lot of thinking. I think the best option for me is to find a really clean msp and buy it and transfer the parts i want to keep from my car onto it, fix my car a little bit, and then sell it.

why not just find a 3? same power stock to stock as an MSP and more reliable
 
But he doesn't have a stockpile of 3 parts already.

But MokeyAss does have a point. But I still like Protege's more. :D
 
well i would try and find a msp that has some engine modifications. but even if i dont, i have plenty of parts that will carry over and i dont really wanna let them go haha. and my dad has a 2.3 liter 5 spd mazda3 and its nowhere near as quick as my car which makes about the same power as an msp. i could transfer over my intercooler, intake, hard pipes, bov and recirc, midpipe, exhaust, and SSFTC. that would give me a nice increase right from the start
