That ^ is a great color.Here's my 2011 Touring AWD (sunroof, leather) that I bought the day after Xmas with 36k miles on it. Not CPO but super clean and what appears to be a clean record and signs of being treated well. My only gripe so far is how easily the washer nozzles freeze when it's in the low 20s (or below). Other than that, I couldn't be happier with it.

this picture is great. Really captures just how good the cx9 still looks compared to just about any lare cuv/ SUV out there - even this long after it was first penned some 6 years ago. Maybe the current X5 M ($95k) looks better, but to my eye ^ that is just about perfect!

Car really handled well on a bunch of unpaved service roads upstate this weekend.

Picked up our 2013 Grand Touring w/Tech Package on Saturday. Snapped a quick shot this morning before leaving for work, but I will take more pictures soon.
I was at the dealer today getting the oil changed after the last road trip and finally got to see the '13 GT AWD w/ Tech Package in black up close and personal. I love the seat fabric and the new NAV/Bose. the seats have alcantara inserts and red stitching. The door handle surround has matching alcantara fabric. Dead sexy. Just looking at pictures I wasn't sure I liked the new front end treatment but after seeing it in person, I really like it. Love the proper round exhaust tips. It had Dueler HT 400 tires.

I'm pretty sure my neighbors already think I'm nuts, ever since they watched me hand lay all the pavers for our driveway. I snapped this shot before leaving for work in the morning and there isn't much neighborhood activity at that time. The tires are Bridgestone Dueler H/L 400. How do you like your Nitto NT850s?
I rolled a mustang once. That was before airbags.
It was an entertaining ride. We pretty much had the roads to ourselves. I knew that being the off season and during the week, there would be little to no traffic. At Cedar City, I aired up the tires to 50 lbs. As you are aware, southern Utah roads offer every possible condition. Hairpins, descending off camber corners, reducing radius left handers, flat out sweepers and combinations off all of the above. Hwy 9 through Zion is one of my favorite roads in America. Hwy 12 through Bryce Canyon and Escalante are also fun. The bonus is the scenery. After Zion we headed south on Hwy 89 to Page AZ going on the south end of Lake Powell. We made base camp in Page at the Marriott overlooking Glen Canyon Dam and proceed down to the Grand Canyon entering at the East Gate driving through to the South Gate which exits on Hwy 64/180 heading south into Flagstaff where we connected with Hwy 87 at Winslow which runs North/South through the Hopi Nation Reservation and is pretty remote. I was running at 100 mph through there. My wife is Native American Ute but has an auntie who's Hopi so we stopped in to have fry bread tacos (yum) and visit. She gave us directions for a short cut through the rez which was smooth unpaved road for about 30 miles. I was running at mostly 60 mph through this section. It was easy to navigate with the Xenon headlights and the full moon in cloudless skies. That was the most fun I've had in this vehicle, my wife was even giggling! The trip ended on Sunday with a ride north up Hwy 89 and back on the 15 to Salt lake City. We connected the two on Hwy 20. It's fast, wide and steep up and down. Fun road!
This was our first real road trip where we did open back roads. After a year of ownership and 15k miles, I felt it was broken in enough to handle some punishment. All in all, I was impressed with it's handling. The Bridgestones aren't that bad for a compromise OEM tire. A stiffer sidewall is definitely in order as well as a stiffer spring. Through the twisties I was shifting manual mode, and even though it's drive by wire, I felt connected. Mazda doesn't over boost steering so it has good feedback and is very responsive.
This is my wife's daily so my seat time is limited to weekends and road trips. If it were mine, I'd get with my buddy in Socal to have some coilovers built, drop to 18" rims with proper offset and get some real tires.
