Today I took the radio dash bezel out along with the shifter bezel. I'll be selling those to help pay for tires and the rear wheels. I also took off the steering wheel and looking into buying an aftermarket setup. Finished up seperating the wires and just waiting to get the material to wrap them.
Next will be finishing up the DP swap and start with the forming of the fenders.

My new interior, or lack there of 
Can't wait to for the short hub, quick release, and new wheel along with some new interior pieces. I have a lot going on right now with the car to give me more options to work with while it is cold out like today. Hopefully I can get some actual work of the few days it gets warmer here this week.

To release the hub/steering wheel... Quickly. No but seriously it's a huge help when you have a bucket seat, helps free up room to get into the car. And you can take your steering wheel off while you drive for those epic "no hands no wheel" rolling shots. And you can put your expensive wheel in your manpurse when you don't feel it's safe where you parked your car.
<3Good point, a quick release seems like money wasted that could be spent elsewhere. Personally I can't think of a single instance that my steering wheel got in the way while getting in or out of any car I've owned. Almost seems ricey when I really think about it. Just my 2cents.

The quick release does help if you have a racing seat. Other than that it would be personal preference.
+1 I would say a quick release is unnecessary. Sure it's hard to get in/out with a racing seat (I know this) but it's not required and seems like an unneeded expense/point of failure. The only reason I could think to run one would be if you have different steering wheels for street and track driving (e.g. leather for street and suede for track).
Why sell the beautiful CF interior pieces to buy a QR hub?
When I swapped a Sparco on I had to delete the clock spring, airbag and horn. There must be a way to retain these features (but for the airbag) but it wasn't worth the money for an aftermarket wheel IMHO.

It's weird you had to remove all those. I have a Sparco wheel and hub in the RX-7 and I retained all those. I had to modify the hub a little (actually meant for a Miata) and the horn's a bit difficult to trigger but that's it. I actually broke my clockspring assembly (stupid 23 year-old plastic) but ordered a new one and everything work's just fine.
But the OP's car is not a Miata and it doesn't have door bars nor an Ultra-Shield race seat so I don't see how it applies. Does anyone know if Bill Bree's or the guys at Doc B Racing use a quick release?
