2002 Protege
Ok so while working on fixing the smached front corner on my wifes 2002 Protege LX, I noticed the aftermarket ebay wheels I had gotten her were A LOT more beat up than I thought and I looks like I'm gonna end up having to get new wheels.

While looking in my shed I happend to find an old set of wheels I had forgotten about for almost 5 years. They were in black plastic bags and stuffed in a corner. If it wasn't for the fact that I thought to myself... "what ever happend to my old wheels from my Prelude" I probably would have never thought to look in the bags.

Anyways...

They are called Zelda Triforce wheels. I forgot what company makes them. universal 4 lug, FWD offset.

SO i wanted to see what you guys think? Its not gonna cost me anything other than mounting my tires onto them and I should be able to get the car running on them. The Wife isn't thrilled when she sees them. So I have an uphill battle at home.

In my mind I keep telling myself it will look different.... My problem is different dosen't always = good.

Think dark green 2002 LX.

Input???

I remember seeing more than a few Prelude's rocking those wheels back in the day. I like them but tri-spoke wheels are a bit mid-90's, nice big lip on them though. If I was on a budget I would put them on and be proud. If I had a few more bucks to play with I would probably keep looking for something a bit more in-line with current tastes. Don't think the wheel really suits the body shape on the LX. They might look good if you go rat rod VW style and stretch some tires on there and get the car down low. Wifey probably wouldn't like that though.

I ran Mustang GT tri-bars on my Protege for a while and I loved them. I got tons of compliments on them. I say go for it.
