The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

I'll post this in here too.
Just a heads up that the NWORSCCA event #10 has been changed form Fostoria to the Toledo Express Airport (TEA) for 10/14/2012. I'll be there like always.

Do it and you might as well just put your brakes on as well.

he cant till he gets either spacers or wheels... ricecar right now.. :p

exactly, and i dont get paid till friday so its not like I could order some right meow for sunday. If I went I'd watch cuz I dont want to tear up my road tires yet.

really bored at work. On a scale of "any idiot with hand tools and a torque wrench can do it" to "you might want to seek a professional" ...how hard is installing new valves and valve springs?

I since I'm not sure of the millage on the used head I got I figured it can't hurt to freshen it up so it's good for the long haul

Having the right tools for that one makes all the difference

What's the hardest thing you've ever done on a car?

Timing belt on a 420a motor in a 99 Eclipse N/a.

Not having proper tools = broken cam sprocket, missed alignment by 1 tooth

I was a noob and learned my lesson. Now I don't start big jobs without all the tools in place.

Lol I have never had so much interaction with friends on my Facebook page as once I got the smart. Everyone posts smart car pics on my wall!! I could do that scheme with plastidip. But I just repainted the damn car lol.

and it worked properly afterwards? (boom01)

I would say changing the cams and timing belt.

Yeah... as the others have said, just get the valve spring removal tool. It's not crazy complex, but can be a pain without proper tools.

You just repainted the Smart?

Yeah it's pearl white now. Was sick of black. Almost painted the whole thing with a quart. Needed a pint to finish the ground effects.

By Sunday it will be a little different yet lol.

Looks nice Jess. You should have taken a pic on the bike trail inthe back.

My old band is playing with the Canton Symphony Orchestra and I just bought tickets for $30 each. Oy vey! I should've just stuck around a while longer and got to play the bloody gig. Haha. Should be fun though.

speaking of music- if anyone knows a bassist looking for a like new Carvin bass rig let me know. This one just doesn't have to tone I'm looking for so I'm buying my old one back from a friend. Team Ohio discount of $600.
