What is the rarest japanese car for under 5k?

so far the only one i can think of is the nissan 300zx.

what other japanese cars under 5000 that are pretty rare?

323 gtx made 88-89 less than 1300 sold in the us. Most have been rallied and totaled, I've read that there are under 300 registered for road use

and only if every state had a way to show how many of each car were registered. lol. cause i can tell you here in IL there is no way to tell. and alot of titles dont even have a model listed. just a maker. so there's just no way to know how many of a certain car are registered across the states. now within certain states, im sure its possible.

That's why I said read. But for real most people have never seen a gtx, maybe a gt or 2. But I had never seen or heard of one till I bought mine

i know of two in my town. a black one, and a really rusty white one. and then have a friend named Erik up in Wis that has one, and is actually the original owner. but now the car is only used for ice rally'ing. here's a shot of eriks actual car at the track a few years back.
