The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

One thing that draws people toward V6 models is the availability of the fancy options that everyone loves. 4cyl models tend to be the boring ones... except for the Camry. That's just boring all day long.

That's not necessarily true anymore. You can get leather, navigation, blind spot monitoring, etc. with some four cylinders nowadays.

what was the v6 in the 6 putting out? it was only around 220ish right? If they're close to 200 hp with the 2.5 and a lighter car you're going to get similar #'s and much better mpg's just something to think about

I dunno...the worse I've seen out of my V6 is 19city in February. 21-22 during the summer, and highest summer hwy has been 27. Obviously not as good as a 4cyl, but not horrible IMO.

And, check out what we have at the shop.....:D

Anyone know this person? Has a K&N Typhoon (or something like that) intake, Greddy BOV, and Cat back exhaust. Pretty beat down though...:(

I told our production manager to keep me in mind to fix it (parts aren't here yet, he just dropped off) but I have to finish this '11 Jetta up first...

Those aren't bad mpg's at all.

did they put the 1 rx8 wheel on for fun?. Not the prettiest but that's why they brought it to you right?

Yeah, I know him, lol. Said he got rear ended by a Surburban, some guy he worked with I think. Not sure, didn't really dig to find out. He's the one that was asking the noob questions on the Ohio Thread on FB.

Hmm, I'll probably be looking at those same mileages after my swap, but I don't drive much.

Oh, also, if anyone needs parts sand blasted, let me know. I now have a sand blaster. Team Ohio, ftw.

We'll get her shined up for him then!

And, what kind of blaster? A big blast cabinet? Or a tank style where you just blast big stuff in your driveway?

Tip of the iceburg there!! Haha

And, that guy dropped the price of that Original 77 to $4300 obo! He'd probably take $3500 or less. Wish I was in a better place so I could buy it and flip it!

wish I had the cash and a place

I did put it on my x-mas list

Just got home from a brief hospital stay. I had been having some chest pains late friday into saturday morning while I was at work, followed by more saturday night at work. I have had some off and on since my heart attack 10 years ago so I wasn't too concerned until I woke up with some more serious pain monday. Turns out that the stent that was put implanted in 02 was worn out/clogged with scar tissue. So I was having a mild (in the docs words) heart attack. I have a new stent and all is well and expect full recovery. The funny part is that while we were at the autocross on sunday I had no pains.

I know why you were not in pain, you had the adrenaline rush we were experiencing while auto-xing!

Glad you're okay. That's some scary stuff if they were saying you were having a heart attack!

In other news, look what showed up!!
