NEMOC Random BS Thread

Hey Marlon, do you get camping w/ the weekend ticket, as usual?
Ok guys and gals, we have pricing for LRP!!!!

http://tickets.limerock.com/eventperformances.asp?evt=10

If you get a weekend ticket it is $64.50 and a Saturday only ticket it is $53.50 We will be offering food once again and our tent as usual. So lets have a good turn out and raise some money for charity as well. We will have a thread up soon, once lauri creates a flyer for the event.

I've got to wait 2 months for it to come in, but I am finally purchasing a full suspension mountain bike. It's called the Santa Cruz Tallboy LT. It's a 29er. I was able to demo the bike over the summer and loved it. It is effortless to ride and should allow me to keep up on the shop rides and extend the duration of my solo rides.

wow, these bikes have come a long way! what does it weigh? 29 huh! cool! i just started riding again...

I love my 29er. I will say tho that the rigid frame is taking its toll on my arms though. :(

Well, someone sure is chipper today. lol

You can camp in the tent to save on money.. I have no issue as long as the area is clean, you know that.

????...this just might be an option for me...if I can make it....more details on what is involved to get a spot or what I'd need (guessing a pillow/blanket/sleeping bag)? I'm a camp newb.

I've got a $100 Walmart special Mongoose that hurts my a$$ when I ride. They should have just sold it for $90 and bagged the seat. My plan is to buy a new seat for it but I don't ride that often and always remember to buy one after I'm out on it.

Took the em heat shield off yesterday in hopes of getting rid of an annoying rattle (didn't work) so next I'll be checking the shields around the j-pipe. After posting a pic another member pointed out to me that I'm missing a bolt in the upper left corner of the em???? Damn thing must have backed out over time???

eh, I have a trek 7300fx. Not a cheap bike.

The seat still kills my ass after about 30 minutes.

The new bike is about 30lbs. I decided it wasn't worth another $1,000 for the 27lb carbon fiber version. My old bike is about 30lbs so even though I'm upgrading to full suspension and 5.5" of travel front and rear, it shouldn't feel any heavier. I'll just have to ride more often and burn off 3lbs from my waste!

I've never had a problem with seats...not since I started wearing padded bike shorts. I rode 2 hours straight the other day and was fine. Giggity Giggity, I can't wait for it to come in!

Nice! Was hoping to see you at Daytona, but I won't be going this year. :(

i should bring my 11 yr old p5, rust and all :(in other news: the house sale has hit a bump or should i say a new england "pot hole". the buyers can't even get an offer on their 8 yr old 8 room colonial...they've dropped the price 20k over the last 3 months and not a bite. so the proposal is for us to drop our price by 20k so they can drop their price 20 k and maybe get a buyer. i'm not adverse to the idea (if it gets the deal done) because we thought all along that's what we'd end up with (425k) after getting real estate involved (maybe less). so we'll probably do it because i can also save 15k a yr not leaving there, so in my mind it makes good financial sense.

Bummer Mark. Its a rough market out there for sellers. The house across the street from us went back on the market. I think the owners are trying to flip it...but the listed price is pretty low...good thing we're not going anywhere.

We just refinanced the primary mortgage on the condo. Dropped the rate from 6.13% to 4.5% and added a few years on. All the monthly savings will go into rapidly paying off the 2nd mortgage over the next 7 years. After that point, we'd turn a small profit on the rent income and would be in a position to sell the place if we had to.
