What have you done to your MSP today?

ive changed gaskets on my AWR oil pan three times now, and it continues to push oil out around the bolts....

:'(

I had the same problem with mine. no matter how well I made or put a new gasket on it would have a slow leak.

Picked up the new dd......I now introduce my new to me, 1993 Mazda miata. paid $1550 for it. It's has 175k miles. Bought it from the original owner. Has all the maintenance records. Needs some tires, brakes, a tune up and a paint job. It's tempting to part out the msp to make a bad ass miata, but Idk if I can bring myself to do that. I have a sick obsession for my msp lol

nice man, I just looked at a boosted miata the other day. Thought about picking it up until I can figure out what is wrong with the msp. But money talks and he has 3 potential buyers already. One is waiting on their bank to clear.

OAN: took the SSAFC out of the car just in case there was a 1 out of a 100 chance it was the problem....no dice. I'll be picking up a scan tool with live data streaming later this week.

Picked up some new stuff...drive belts, thermostat, front rotors/pads. Might be trading it in/selling in a few months.

Proper wheel drive... ;)

New tires finally came in today. Can finally get rid of these "drag slicks" I have up front. Probably gonna wait till it gets back from the body shop though. The rental car place is trying to give me a Chevy Aveo (notcool)
.

Went cruisin around with my buddy last night who has a 2005.5 Jetta GLI completely stock. Did a few pulls and we were neck and neck every time, which I was surprised. Didn't think those GLI's had that much power! Here's a picture I took on my phone:

a 1.8T should hold pace, a VR6 would pretty much walk you.

number shumbers.

my buddies 1.8t is slower than my protege even when i have the supercharger switched off. i kept up with my other buddies vr6 with the sc on.

To keep you all informed, I just went and drove my car around to let it reach normal operating temperature. I then parked it while still running and looked around all the intake piping/manifold and exhaust. I found nothing, nor heard anything major besides a hardly noticeable hissing coming from up by the throttle body area. Not sure if it is normal to hear this noise in that particular are or not, but I am getting extremely frustrated with this idle issue.

Missing idle air screw? I have heard of them falling out and causing a vac leak.
