*Signature Sound*Lots of cool s*** done this week! Block is coming along PERFECT. All specs were way better than expected. Balance was within 1/2 gram, bore was dead on, Spec Clutch and Fidanza Flywheel lined up as if they were made for each other, powder coat on the block came out sweet as hell....

High temp primer applied after a very hot bath. Baked in oven at 425* for 3 hours.

Then chrome base coat applied. Baked in oven for 1/2 cycle (promotes top coat adhesion during full cure)

Fresh out the oven. Anodize blue to match fittings and accents.

Yeah, thanks everyone! Once we get the motor in, we can start mocking up the engine bay and prep it for paint. It'll be properly shaved and redone. I can't wait!

******* amazing bro. Ima hit you up this weekend about them panels. I'm leaving next week sometime.

The oil pump, oil pan and MBSP were blasted, chemically treated and pre baked. The oil pump was also smoothed out with the air sander.

Man, some awsome work here. I love my protege but its all stock with exceptions of a weapon R cool air intake. My tranny just went popped putting it into 3rd a little to hard and now it seems to be stuck in 3rd or 4th lol no nutral or anything. Broke my back racing motocross and cant work so ive been chipping away at getting the motor out to be rebuilt and ive been working on wire tucking. mad props to your car man. Its made me want to do so much to mine. Great job, the car is insane.

*Signature Sound*Good progress on the wiring again this weekend. The loom is awsome to work with. It expands like crazy which helps to go over connectors. Then tigtens back up for a super nice look and VERY strong protection.

Once we figure out what holes will be used, we can weld all the others shut and start smoothing the bay more. Heres a pic of the nice routing for the headlights.

we took the opportunity to mock up ANOTHER first for he protege: Signature Firewall Vanity Panel. This will be available for anyone that wants to shave the bay without having to take the dashboard off to weld all the holes and smooth the firewall!! It bolts on using the existing studs and can be configured for custom or standard brake boosters. The aluminum sheet is made from 5051 and is .100" thick (Nice and sturdy without a ton of weight).

Can you make this piece without any of the holes, and what studs does it mount to? I have no exterior studs left on my firewall any longer, but even after paint the firewall won't look that smooth.
