The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

^Don't talk to be about a waste of money Adam! I do what I want, lol. A lot of modding is a waste of money, but to each their own.

You racing at Fostoria Adam?

Just how light/heavy are forgeline wheels? I really like some of their designs and the fact you can get just about any width and offset. It's too bad they're like $1000+ per wheel though.

17" are about $900 a wheel and depending on the design most are 17-20lbs the bigger the wheel you'll have to add 1 or 2 lbs.

Okay so RPF-1's appear to still be the better option. I'm toying with the idea of upgrading to 17x9's.

I think I'll stick with trying to find some used rpf1's or the like in the future.

You could always try to find some TSW Xenon wheels with the pin drive option? But rare and IIRC only come in a 5x100/5x120 bolt pattern in a 19" size. They may have had other sizes and bolt patterns available but I'm not finding much via google. I absolutely loved these wheels back when I had my VW

What's the advantage to having the one lug nut? Other than quicker pit stops and baller status?

I mean, I'm a bit of a ricer but even I can't justify $5600 for that setup.

If there were 5,600 expendable dollars in my pocket looking for a place to be spent, I think it would want to be a dandy down payment on another car. Maybe a college fund? Nah, I'm too old for college. Haha.

Wow IMO that price is just ridiculous. Like Evan said, what would the benefits be, besides baller status and quicker pit stops (useless for autox/hpde)? Also, if this car is your daily driver, you have to account for driving it in the winter. So you would probably need a 2nd set of wheels with winter tires. Although I guess it would be cheaper to have your track tires unmounted and then mount the winter tires come November/December haha!!

So personally, I would never get these...but if someone wants to spend their money on it, it's their money and they can do whatever the hell they want with it lol

Lol where do I waste my money

Ok, the wheels, why would you over pay for wheels that will be eaten up by crappy roads? Secondly, you could buy 2 to 3 sets of decent wheels for the track and street for what you pay for one set.

As far as down payments for houses, there are a number of states that heve great down payment programs for first time home buyers. They'll gift you the entire amount of the downpayment and with this being a buyers market, seller's are offering concessions you can get into a house with nothing out of pocket. Also, what these programs consider first time homebuyers are anyone who has never owned a home ever or has not onwed a home in the past 3 years.

its the most aggrevating thing for me...

payment wise i can afford a decent house with relative ease, but ive been having issues getting the down payment saved up, everytime i start to make progress and some money in the back it seems a string of issues comes up and i have to spend the money i had just saved to fix/repair/pay off etc etc.. its starting to become a very defeating process for me :(

good luck in the house hunting though Nate!

Dude, just rent the rest of your life. Any problems are taken care of by the landlord and if you want to leave Pitt, you don't have to worry about selling. No mowing or general maintenance at all!! :)
