2012 Mazda 2 Touring
I just traded in my 2011 Mazdaspeed 3 for a 2012 Mazda 2. The reason is that I was tired of spending the money on premium fuel and I never really drove the speed 3 how it should've been.

So here is the car being picked up from Pearson Mazda in Richmond, VA

So far I've ordered...

6000k hid headlights
3000k fog lights
Lamin-x yellow fog light covers
SURE Rear Motor Mount

I had a TWM Performance satin "piston" style shift know from my speed I put on the 2...

Planned mods are...

H&R Springs
Corksport Intake / Exhaust
Konig Feather wheels 17x7 40mm offset in matte black
Take out backseats and lose as much weight as possible
Window Tint
3D Carbon front lip
 
I'd like to see the cut-off pattern with HID's installed. I'm impressed with how good the stock low-beam cut-off pattern is for a reflector housing.
 
H&R springs and SPC camber bolts will be here tomorrow. I'm trying to decide on wheels. I know I want 16s but I'm sure what width or offset or a "flush" fit.

i know what you mean on the mazdaspeed3 , it gets costly hehe
deff looking foreward to seeing how your car comes along will be watching for sure ,these cars are lots of fun to drive ,Good luck !

Well my HIDs came in as well as my fog lights. One of the ballasts is bad with my HID kit :'(
So I'll order yet ANOTHER kit that way at least I'l have a spare ballast and bulbs.

Springs, camber bolts, and RMM will be in today. I'm trying to find someone with an available garage this evening to install all of it.

I found the wheels I want. I've actually decided to go 16's in order to save some rotational mass and there is a better selection of wheels.

Hey I'm currently in the dilemma I was in when I bought my 2010 Speed3: I want a mazda2. If you don'tind me asking , what was the trade in process like to "down grade" to the 2? If you feel more comfortable, PM me. I'm seriously considering getting rid of the Speed3 for the simplistic , basic fun that comes from the 2. Reminds me of my miata :) if the trade in process is easy and costs me nothing, I'm in.

Well the used market (at least in Virginia) is booming right now. They really wanted my speed3. My suggestion is tel them before they even look @ the car, if they can't payoff your loan then they shouldn't even bother looking @ it. Mazda is offering 0% for 60 months now on the 2's so its a good time to buy one. I look at it this way. If they WANT to sell you a car bad enough, they'll make the deal good enough to where you'd be stupid to say "no". But overall its a fairly easy process. Just work your deal and never accept their first offer unless it freaking crazy good.

My wheels and exhaust come in tomorrow, as soon as they get on I will have more pics.
 
I just dropped the car of @ the shop to have the new wheels put on and an alignment done... will post pics when I go to pick it up. By the way can a moderator please move this thread to the right section. Sorry
