What have you done to your P5 today?

Sounds good man. and yeah you need one :)

and thanks man slowly trying to get it looking nice

The Photo called OCD is the turbo Oil Return to the Engine. It is a Full AN10 Stainless line that drops 90 Degrees into a 45 Degree fitting into the windage tray. Rather than putting this into the oil pan below the oil line, this return is placed deliberately above the oil level so it will function properly. If I were to be asked to choose one picture that describes the level of detail that I put into my build, it is this picture.

Thanks! I'm going to try and take some more tonight. By time I learned from my mistakes and figured out what I was doing my battery died. Round two should be better
What camera are you using? Generally for long exposures set the ISO at the lowest setting and crank down the aperture. But I guess it depends on what you're going for.

Here's one I took with a PowerShot S95

wow man that looks sick and a true work of art. You can tell it was well thought out and not a after thought.

I'm using a Nikon D50. 800 ISO. exposure time for that pic was around 10-15". Not sure what my F-stop was though

My wife is a photographer but does stuff like portraits and weddings. I grabbed this camera and tried to do stuff on my own. I wanna learn for myself by experimenting

Scratch that. I've about given up on night photography...at least for now. My vision is a lil off so what I see as focus isn't quite right on the computer. I'll stick to day shots with my dianna lens and fish eye. Thanks autofocus!

Hold on a second man. My vision sucks too. I can ONLY use auto focus. For long exposure you must use proper technique (i.e. tripod is a must). Also, like I said, turn down the aperture for more depth of field (more stuff will be in focus).

And, most importantly, use a remote shutter release or, if you don't have one, a self timer (the countdown thingy) will do.

Basically you don't want to shake the camera while it's gathering light. And definitely set your ISO to 100 or less, if the camera supports it.

yeah. I use a tripod and I recently acquired a remote. I need to research how to connect the remote to my camera. I'll give it another go. You're right about my aperture. I have a short depth of field which is limiting my focus. I don't believe my ISO will go as low as 100, kind of an issue with the camera. I can change shutter speed up to 30" and then bulb which will work great with the remote. I'll go research now connecting the remote

*edit* I figured out how connect the remote. Simple enough. Round 3 tonight!

I changed my rear struts yesterday, it took all bloody day but it's done. The ride is much better now, so much so that I'm considering swapping the front KYBs for some OEM struts.

The bolt that holds the ABS sensor wire broke off on both sides so I had to pry apart the strut to get it off the spindle:

I grinded it down, drilled, and tapped both sides:

After dicking around with a stuck top hat for an hour I finally had both struts assembled:

And finally it got installed along with a new ABS sensor (LOOK AT THE CANCER):

Also, a couple days ago I got a free '02 Maxima that I'll be using as a backup car which means I'll be able to tinker with the P5 even more :)

I had that same ABS sensor bolt break on me when I put my Tein/Tokico's on. I had to grind it out with a dremel for an hour. Little prick bastard. haha.

And how did you get a free Maxima, Cheese?

I had someone get a free Tacoma last time i was in Montreal.. sure it cost me a truck but someone wanted it more..

quick question with the install of the horns im tryin to do today...did you just cut off the plug from the factory horn and use a butt connector to attach it to the new wire to the horns?

orange circle is the new wire, and the blue circle is what i am questioning...im not using a relay btw

the less amount of connectors the better but yes you can simple use a butt connector there or better would be to solder the 2 wires together. I used my oem wire and the male version of the plug so i can remove the wiring if needed.
